moonset
Sun ray on the horse farm
Misty morning by the pond
Brocken spectre
Sun ray and misty woods.
A lot of spider webs on the crabapples.
It is the day of Chinese Mid-autumn festival. This turned out to be one of the most fascinating autumn morning. It started with moonset at 6:08 and sunrise at 6:35. The I got to witness the sun ray shining down on the horse farm down the street from my house. After that, I drove to my favorite spot in Fisher Meadow to capture the morning mist by the pond and on the trail. On the way back home, I saw a lot of web hanging on the crabapple trees which lost all their leaves already. I thought it was the moth web. Upon examining closely, I realized they were the spider webs coated with the dews. The angle of the sun and the dews on the webs made it perfect for photographing. I even spotted a Brocken spectre when the fog was dissipating. You can’t expect to see anything more within a 3.5 hours span. It was truly magical.
