Landscape innovations- pergola, urns, fire and water

We were called for repairing the existing blue stone patio. It is an award winning house nestling in Avon Mountain overlooking Farmington Valley. The steps were poorly constructed. The pergola didn’t compliment the elegance of the house. There was a boxwood hedge in the patio which actually took away the beauty of breathtaking view.

We start with removing the boxwood to make it simple and open. We also rebuilt the steps with longer tread and matching stone riser. We designed the new pergola to enhance the elegance of the house. We also introduced a granite pedestal and urn to add additional interest without blocking or bisecting the view.

Firepit and water features are the darlings of modern backyard living space. How to introduce both elements to the existing patio was a challenge. This is when the innovation came into play. We custom designed this water and fire combination which is one of the kind. It took a lot engineering and creative thinking to get everything to works. We also installed autofill mechanism and gravity drain for the fountain to make it fun to play yet easy to maintain. We completely transformed an ordinary backyard into a really beautiful, unique and  enjoyable living space.
